Hello you two, love your music Ray. Good stability job on this one Kathy. So many times I've been "introduced" to your music when visiting or making new friends. I get a quiet chuckle as they say, "Here's someone who's music you've never heard before." Your music is a real joy and a reflection of the feeling of the Heart. Vince

hello once again mr. lynch.. i wrote you last year.. you might not remember me. but thats not what counts... its what your music does to inspire other people. realize who they are. this is going on my 2nd or 3rd yr of listening to your music... a while back i bought the sky of mind cd and that makes my 3rd album of yours.. and i love that cd. as well two. i haven't met a bad song yet. my two favorite songs off of sky of mind if too wounded and green is here. once i learn piano i am going to buy your sheet music and play it and learn the experiance you got to have. well, just the thought "hey you played this before" i still love your other cds.. its kind of funny.. in the group that i hang out w/.. they are into that rap and rock stuff.. to me.. it gets annoying and causes head aches.. its just great putting in a cd or mp3 of your music and relaxing to it. i'm sure i just sound like a normal everyday fan you come across.. but i only speak the truth. and its nice that you write to your fans... a while back in jan. you sent me a letter. and that was really awesome. well, i just wanted to write another greetting on here and say how wonderful your music is and that to keep up the good work and wondering when the newer cd will come out and what it is going to be called... well, talk to you later!!
your dearest fan,
kasey

Just bought "best of" and am listening to it right now, enjoying it very much. Hadn't heard of Ray Lynch until I inquired about the awesome music playing at the Wonders of Life pavillion in Epcot center (Disneyworld). Of course then I HAD to get the album, and I love that it reminds me of such a wonderful place :) Music plays a keen role in memories.

Me and my friends found "No Blue Thing," at a library when it first came out, we used it in many home movie soundtracks when we were kids, we were probably the only people who would listen to death metal and Ray Lynch. Electronic music mixed with non-electronic is where it's at. I make music which combines these aspects too, however it is far more darker, less talented, and trip-hop/industrial/death oriented. Rock ON!!!!!!!

I love your music. I have several of your cd's and recently d/led Silent Night as an Mp3. I have been looking all over for that cd, because that rendition of Silent Night is the best I've ever heard. Your music is excellent. My wife picked up one of your cd's, I don't remember which now, and I got hooked on Celestial Soda Pop.

Can you please tell me what cd Silent Night is on, and where I may obtain it?
Thanks for all the wonderful tunes!

Hi Ray, Indigo has said you are open to doing a show on my SOULSCAPES TV SHOW. I'm listening to your music, reading all you say on this sight and will call Kathleen soon to discuss how we want to proceed with the show. My show is dedicated to the awakening of the Heart so we'll want to see how we bring Beloved into the conversation. In listening to your music I already felt Beloved penetrating me beyond the mind. Your work is very beautiful. All your ideas are welcome for the show. I'd like to present what ever you feel will most excite our audience and bring them closer to Beloved.

My wife & I discovered your music while vacationing in Maine with our children about 12 yars ago. We were in a store in Bar Harbour called the Dacning Deer, and we heard the most inspiring and uplifting music ploaying -- it was your Deep Breakfast tape. We bought several -- for ourselves and friends. Since that time, when needing to decompress, uplift or make-up we most often turn to your music. No matter how down or sad, we are always renewed and inspired after listening. Even our now grown children will sit and listen --despite their preferences for the newer music forms!
Thank you for sharing -- we look forward to your new works -- they are definitely worth waiting for.

ps -- we own all the tapes AND their CD's -- resources well invested on our part.

"the true spirit of mom & dad" is likewise tops in my list. having read your fan mail, i'm intrigued to buy "deep breakfast." i think i'm going to look for it in the stores the moment i get my chance. in the meantime, please take care and don't lose your ingenuity in making beautiful music.

Like so many other letters that I read, your music brought peace to me. After my divorce, when the world seemed at odds with me, when I could see no harmony in anything, I would sit and listen to your album Deep Breakfast. I used to play a game. With each song I made up a story, and each one was a peaceful, sweet story. In one, you seemed to use bubbles and the sounds of whales.....in that one I was floating down a river on a raft, looking at the sky through new eyes......and things were right with the world. Thank you for your music....sometimes, it is wonderful just to know that you make a difference.

I used to listen to your music in the car with Mom & Dad at the age of about 3-5 and I wanted to listen to it all the time. By the age of 12 I was trying to remember what those tunes in my head were from. After looking in old boxes and cars I finaly found it in the back of the glove box. "Beep Breakfast?" I thought to myself. So I poped it in and it all came back. I reamenberd things about the age 3-5 that were long forgotten. Incuding a trip to the apple oacherd that we took with the releteves once a year. Now I found another tape today (age fourteen) called "No Blue thing".Where DO you come up with these names. Anyways, I noteced that you changed the look of the cover from a siple blue cover with a seed/egg shape to two woman looking shapes. I havent listend to it yet but I hope I like it as much as "Deep Breakfast".

Ray.....
As a once professional musician, I love your music. I've been playing around with it with my present hobby...
using it as backgound to video NLE.
It seems to work great with my family genealogy, but I have not distributed it. I want to use it only for my family, and only excerpts from two of your renditions.... Tiny Geometries and Oh!

Must I pay for something that will not be sold for profit? Certainly, full credit would be given to you.
Regardless of your answer...... you're music deserves world-wide recognition.

Thanks for your music.

I received your tapes from one of my mother's friends after she passed over a litte over 3 years ago. What a gift! I am very pleased to visit your website and finally know a little about the soul who creates such beauty. Your music provokes feeling (for me God Centeredness) and feeds a world controlled by ego where our true purpose is so easily lost and forgotten. I began a journey of self-discovery when my Mom passed. It is a joy to continue on my way with your music playing VERY loud.

I don't usually sign guest books, but I simply had to sign this one. I've known your music for many years now and still experience the same wounderful emotions your music evokes as when I first heard it. I had never heard of you before when fifteen years ago I picked up a copy of "Deep Breakfast" and said to myself "I think I'll like this. I think I'll buy it." I didn't know how right I was. I feel so very fortunate that I was guided to that CD on that day because it was on that day that began a love affair that continues even to this day and I anticipate will last for the rest of my life. Once again thank you, thank you, thank you. Please continue composing and publishing. Thank you

It’s time to have some mail wrote in other language…Ray’s listeners also exist at the other end of the world..

Lamentablemente, “The clock & the moon” estuvo al aire sólo durante unas 160 emisiones.

Roberto.

Before anything, the website is very kind to visit, cause either its graphic design and a few artists have contact with listeners this way, it is, explaining the creative process’ backstage, and adding comments and stories about it. This is clearly visible in the “The Best of...” book, whose reading is absolutely delicious. I remember when I bought the CD, when I saw the book is “fat”, I couldn’t wait to get home to read it; I stopped in a plaza, I took seat in the grass and started to read, instead the difficulties with the language (like now). The story about Ralph in the book is lovely.

Probably Ray is known in my country due to his music, even when a few knew that this music is of Ray. It occurs that in this moment, the fever around the music that I’ll call New Age by convenience, has passed away.

In 1990, an important FM broadcast in Buenos Aires put into the air a one-hour daily program, ”The Clock & the Moon” (so, in english), surely for instance of the FM’s Artistic Director, who also joined in a New Age band. The program presentation music was just Celestial Soda Pop.

That broadcast –Finely wrought- mixed musical programming (both acoustic and electronic, sometimes bordering with jazz) with short stories and maxims read by the speaker, with the exact feeling to combine with the environment created by the music. This thing marked a great contrast with other radio programs, which played New Age music but were no matter about the purely musical leading proposition, and relationed it with the Aquarian Age, self-help, individualism and... merchandising.

Lamentably, The clock & the moon was on air 8 months approximately.
At that time it were not easy in Argentina to agree to a CD player, and so to a CD at reasonable price; the only possible way was record from the radio, but I could’nt do this that moment.

The chance came at Good Friday in1991. The Radio put into air a full-advertisingless New Age broadcasting. The same experience was repeated in 1992. I keep 24 hours of music from this time, although I didn’t know the names nor the authors of that works.

One of these works, and I only knew this in 1998, was No Blue Thing.

In this record, the thing I encountered most amazing is the interesting fusion between “classical” instruments and Synclavier. And over all, classical instruments were real and not samples.

From this and the reading of “Best of..” book, Ray is a part of my favorite’s gallery (within 125 titles of more than 50 authors) of New Age Music.

Both me and my wife (Who doesn’t like New Age music), “The Vanished Gardens..” seem a masterpiece.

I call anyone interested in New Age to write to me.

Sincerely thanks for the moments I enjoy your music.

Roberto.

subject: Favorite Letters

Reading the favorite letters brings absolutely no surprise to me. I, too, have been affected by the beautiful sounds of Deep Breakfast. The music of Ray Lynch was unknown the me until 1995 when my husband introduced me to Deep Breakfast. I was hooked!

My first child, a precious baby boy, was born in December of 1998. The early stages of labor were uneventful, but when the time for hard labor arrived...we were in trouble. Both the lives of myself and my son were in jeopary due to complications which have still not been explained to me to this day. I was in danger of having a stroke and Joshua's heartrate continously dropped below critical levels. The words 'emergency cesearean section' were thrown around the room fervently...it was the only way to save both mother and child. Just as the obstetrician was preparing to administer the anesthesia I would need for surgery, my husband pops in our Deep Breakfast CD and the room got quiet. Believe it or not, it was enough to relax me to the point that I was able to deliver my son safely into this world without any further complication.

I don't know if Deep Breakfast saved our lives, but it surely saved us from a lot of pain. As for my son, he required little resuscitation before being handed to me. I saw a rosy, glowing, curious little creature...a miracle. He came into life with Deep Breakfast in the background...WHAT AN ENTRANCE!! Thanks be to God for giving Ray Lynch the gift of life through his music.

I love music . . . all kinds . . .but "The Oh of Pleasure" is very close to the top of my list. We have an excellent sound system in my large classroom and I often play some Ray Lynch or Vivaldi or classical guitar or lute music before class and during our breaks.

Some of my students ask that we delay the beginning of class in order to listen to more. I am afraid we have informally retitled "The Oh of Pleasure" and now refer to it as "The Bubble Music." It is so effervescent and life giving.

From personal experience, I believe it is virtually impossible to listen to Ray Lynch's music without having one's spirit(s) lifted. Thank you.

Dear Mr. Lynch,

I have been enjoying your music for over 15 years. I just put "No Blue Thing" in my CD player, and thought I would find out if I could reach you by internet to say hi, and let you know that your music has added a real richness to my life. To me, your music is an expression of love, and that is what I get present to when I listen to it. Sorry if I am sounding a bit mushy, but it does have that effect on me.

I have listened to "Nothing above my shoulders but the evening" countless times. I wonder if anything (shy of Mozart) could top that album (it's that good), but I do look forward the release of a new album from you. Do you have anything in the works? Also, do you ever tour? I live in the Washington, D.C. area, and I would really enjoy experiencing a live performance by you.

Dear Mr. Lynch.

Back in 1988-89, I often listened to "Sky of Mind." I was in a short but extremely intense relationship with someone, and this was one of "our" tapes. The relationship ended bitterly.

This is one of the few tapes I still have from such a long time ago. I popped it into my cassette player today for the first time since I can remember. Honestly, I did not expect to enjoy it again, and not only because it reminds me of that relationship. Simply, I thought that your music would seem very new-agey and silly to me now. I was wrong. It still moved me deeply.

Music acts as a sort of anchor in a world where there's only an illusion of ground.

My thanks to you for creating something which has quieted my mind again.

While living in San Francisco in the late 80's early 90's I was having trouble sleeping. I turned on the radio one morning (sometime after 3 a.m.) and came upon a radio station that originated from KUSF I believe. This was really the first time I ever heard of New Age Music. I was, and still am, into 50's and 60's rock and roll, country, R&b, but this music was very soothing. It was great to hear music without words. It made my mind relax. I liked the music so much, I started taping it off the radio. Soon, I learned some of the names of the artist(s) and their albums. Artists like, Lucia Hwong, Rubija & Hernandez, Suzanne Ciani, Azuma, Billy Barber, Paul Horn, Himekami, Software, just to mention a few. And of coarse, you....Ray Lynch. The DJ on KUSF was Carlos something or other. I think he came on at 3 a.m. on Sunday morning until 8 a.m. I loved the music so much I would set the alarm for 3 a.m. so I could turn on my tape on to record trhe music. I would set my alarm clock for 45 minutes throughout the morning so I could wake up and turn the tape over and record some more. I think I ended up with about 48 tapes. There were certain people that I wanted to hear more of, your CD's being amongst the first I bought. After moving back up here to Cobb Mountain in 1995, (I lived and went to school here back in the middle to late 50's) I found that I like to take your CD's back up behind me on the mountain, and play them full blast, walk away from where I'm playing them and just listen to the beautiful music echo throughout the forest. Thank you for your music. ~ G@ry

This was the first of your music I had heard and it has never lost it's fresh feel. It is remarkable for me that I can listen to your music and feel that my mind empties itself of outside worries. All your CD's have their own unique abilities to sooth and energize my mind and creative thoughts. I am looking forward to purchasing your Best OF.. soon.

I first heard the music of Ray Lynch while I was in the Army back in 1990. I always listened to R&B, and Rap with no thoughts of any kind of music. A friend of mine in the barracks let me listen to a copy of Sky of Mind, and I instantly fell in love with the song "Quandra". Kudos to Ray Lynch on making some of the most soothing and thoughtful music I have ever heard.
